hub. for hotels — hotel operations software

Your Mews PMSand hub. connected

A room validated in hub. turns clean in Mews in under a minute. The front desk sells it without waiting.

What flows,and what it changes.

Mews knows what is sold, hub. knows what is happening in the hotel. Each piece of data keeps a single owner, and nobody retypes what the other tool already knows.

  • Housekeeping in real time

The head housekeeper validates the room in hub.: the status turns clean, then inspected, in Mews in under a minute. The front desk sees the room available without a phone call.

Two-way synchronisation between Mews and hub.

  • Arrivals, departures, stay-overs

hub. knows the day's departures and the rooms just vacated. An early check-out reshuffles the floor round instead of being discovered on the next pass.

    Synchronisation from Mews to hub.

  • Room inventory imported

Rooms, floors and categories are pulled from Mews. No manual entry at kick-off, no drift when you change your room plan.

  • Maintenance without overselling

A room set out of order in hub. is blocked in Mews: it leaves the sellable inventory. No more out-of-service room assigned by mistake.

  • Guest notes

Mews guest notes and reservation notes surface as handover notes in hub.: preferences, allergies, regulars. Visible at the right moment, by the right people.

  • Your numbers without retyping

Occupancy, rooms sold and accommodation revenue feed the tracking in hub. No more Mews export on one side and a spreadsheet on the other.

Cost of the connection: €0. Mews does not charge for Connector API calls and hub. does not charge for the connector. The only prerequisite: your Mews subscription must include API access.

In real time. The connection relies on Mews webhooks: a change in Mews Operations is reflected in hub. without waiting for a scheduled sync, and vice versa.

How the connection gets activated.

Only one action truly falls to you: requesting the Access Token from Mews. Mews only issues it to the property's owner — we cannot request it on your behalf.

  1. Check that your subscription includes API access

Access to the Mews Connector API requires the Enterprise package or the Connectivity add-on. If your plan does not include it yet, your Mews Client Success Manager will tell you what to do. This check is built into the step-2 email: nothing to do separately.

  2. Send the request to Mews

Open the ready-to-send email template, fill in the highlighted fields and send it to your Mews Client Success Manager, with support@mews.com in copy. Allow 2 to 5 business days of processing on Mews' side.

  3. Mews generates your Access Token

Mews creates the connection between your property and the hub. integration, then generates an access token specific to your hotel. You receive it by email. You can also find it at any time in Mews Operations:

    • Marketplace → My subscriptions → the integration → Settings → key icon, top right
  4. Send us the token, and it's wired

Send us the token through a secure channel: we send you an encrypted drop link. We take it from there.

    • Token entry, encrypted at rest, never shared
    • Connection test and import of your room inventory
    • Initial status alignment: we decide together which side is the source of truth at kick-off, Mews or hub.
    • Acceptance run with the head housekeeper and the front desk, then go-live
    • Turnaround on hub.'s side: 24 to 48 hours after the token is received.

Never send your Access Token by unsecured email, SMS or instant messaging. This token grants access to your property's data. We provide an encrypted drop link for this purpose, and it remains revocable at any time from Mews Operations.

Questions about the Mews connection

Does it cost anything?

Mews does not charge for Connector API calls, and hub. does not charge for the connector. The only cost question concerns your Mews subscription plan: API access requires the Enterprise package or the Connectivity add-on. Your Mews Client Success Manager will confirm your situation — that is point 1 of the email.

Can the connection disrupt Mews?

hub. only writes to Mews what the connection provides for: room cleanliness statuses and out-of-order blocks. Neither your configuration, nor your reservations, nor your billing are touched, and all exchanges go through the official Connector API, within the limits Mews enforces. The access token remains revocable at any time from Mews Operations: you can stop the connection without going through us.

What happens if I deactivate the connection?

Mews and hub. become independent again, each with its own data. Nothing is deleted on either side: statuses simply stop flowing and each team resumes entering data in its own tool. You revoke the token from Mews Operations, or ask us and we cut it on our side. The connection can be re-established later with a new token.

How is my data protected?

The access token reaches us through an encrypted drop link — never by email, SMS or instant messaging —, it is encrypted at rest and shared with no one. Data is hosted in the European Union. hub. for hotels acts as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR: we only process your data on your documented instructions, and the connection's scope is limited to room statuses, inventory, stays and the notes needed for handover notes.

How long does the full go-live take?

Allow 2 to 5 business days on Mews' side to process the request and issue the token, then 24 to 48 hours on hub.'s side once it is received: connection test, inventory import, initial status alignment, acceptance run with the head housekeeper and the front desk. The total lead time therefore mostly depends on your Mews Client Success Manager's response.

What if we have several properties?

Mews issues one access token per enterprise: you need one request and one token per property, even within the same group. The process is identical each time and the email template can be reused as is — only the highlighted fields change. On hub.'s side, properties remain distinct, with their own rooms, teams and handover notes.
